My most ambitious project to date with a - for my standards - mind-boggling amount of dedicated integration: 60 hours
This March held strong and kept those pesky clouds far away from my little backyard. I shot several other targets with my main rig in the meantime, but this one just stayed on Sh2-240.
Orientation is not ideal (90° rotated would have been better). Had I known how much time will flow into this from the beginning, I would have bitten the bullet and shot new flats.
In the end, I drizzled over 700 images with a 8 core i7 machine. Boy, that was a task.
My RedCat always introduces quite substantial tilt into the system which I haven't been able to tune out for some reason, so peep into the corners at your own risk.
Processing this colossus is also very challenging with the oxygen contributions being so extremely faint in the outer regions. I like to keep the relation between different channels as natural as possible but wanted to show a bit more of the Oiii in this target.
